Requirements for a license or certification are too consequential to be verified by a generalist alone. Where we can, each guide is reviewed by a licensed professional in that exact field — a real person, with a real, verifiable credential.

Why a review network

We research every page from primary sources first (see our methodology). But a statute and a candidate's real-world experience do not always tell the same story. A licensed reviewer catches the things only a practitioner would notice: which prerequisite is actually enforced, which fee is routinely waived, which step quietly takes three months. That second layer of scrutiny is what makes a guide trustworthy.

How a reviewer is vetted

Active license, verified

A reviewer must hold a current, active license or certification in the field they review. We check it against the relevant state board or certifying body's public lookup before any guide carries their name.
Conflict-of-interest check

Reviewers may not review a page for a provider they are employed by or have a financial stake in. Independence is the whole point.
Scope is accuracy only

A reviewer confirms the facts — eligibility, steps, fees, timelines. They do not "endorse" a provider or the site. The attribution says exactly what was reviewed.
Named and linked

Reviewed guides name the reviewer, their credential and a way to verify it. No anonymous sign-off, and — importantly — no invented reviewers. Every name on this site is a real, checkable person.

When a guide is reviewed, its footer names the reviewer in this format. The example below shows the structure — the names are placeholders, not real reviewers:
